According to Shelby: WE NEED SIESTAS.

Siesta: A break in the work day for a nap after a midday meal
A Siesta by Frederick Arthur Bridgman

I don't believe in the 40 hour (reality 45 hour or more) week. I think working long stressful jobs contributes to Americans short life expectancy. I feel like if you love what you do and wanna pour your life into it - it should be your choice and decision. But for the rest of us that enjoy living life far more than working at any institution - we shouldn't be mandated at working that many hours.

We should spend time and energy developing an incredible and equal educational system for all children. So that we can raise an incredibly smart and creative generation. Also focusing on healthy lifestyles - so that we are all bursting with energy.

I think the lack of long midday breaks explains why Americans make our LARGE family meal at night aka dinner. As we know, having huge dinners contributes to obesity. Large meals should be taken pre-movement. You want to give your body a chance to "work" off extra calories consumed after your "largest" meal. Dinner for most of us is usually followed by chill or sleep time. Although most Americans are not in the agricultural business (which is how siestas originated - because of hot climates and working outside) I want some SIESTAS...SIESTAS...
