Head Covering

I've been randomly wearing silk hair scarves. I'm greatly enjoying it.  Yes, I love it, because of it's comfort and low-maintenance feel. Yes, I love it, because of it's definitely fashionable  - if not completely fashionably acceptable. But even greater there is something about covering my head that ties me to my sisters of the world. Something so feminine, scholarly, modest, and cultural about the covering one's hair. I definitely feel more connected to my Muslim sisters, African sisters, Christian sisters, my Jewish sisters....just my sisters around the world.
