Complete Rant: About Cancer.

Note: This may not make a lot of sense - just my thoughts after a conversation about:  relaxers, an exploding chair went up a man's rectum killing him, a woman killed by nicotine patches, and a man that chocked to death on a pea.
Just a few days ago, I was told that relaxers, hair straightening chemical, are linked to cancer. This makes meat, processed sugar, all sugar, processed foods, coffee, cigarettes, sun, genetics, radios, telephones, stress, bitterness, televisions, and lack of exercise - all linked to cancer. I can name more, but I think this list is enough for now.

To be honest, I'm starting to become a little jaded on cancer links. Part of me believes that the simple reason for cancer is that we are MORTAL. Yes, we all must meet our demise - some before born, some as babies, some as teenagers, and others as adults. Our bodies don't last forever - so whether it's a bacteria, virus, abnormal cells, brute force, or just your time - we all have to go. A part of life is death - it's just the way it is - if it's not cancer it would be something else.

This said, I have been thinking about how we are created. I, personally, believe I was created by God. I think the only way to determine why He created us and how He wants us to live is through reading the bible, prayer, and meditation. The bible is the blueprint. And through reading the bible - I can't help but notice how often the Lord asks us not to worry, not to have anxiety, to live in peace. I then think about how most of us don't. Then I think what if cancer is linked to stress (yes, I KNOW there are many articles and studies stating stress, bitterness, and worry linked to cancer and other illnesses)?

And then I take it a step deeper and wonder - would researchers, government officials, and who ever else (in the know) tell us? Like tomorrow, if it was proven stress is the definite link to cancer - just like cigarettes - would the government tell us and then make appropriate changes to ensure our health?

The number ONE reason I question whether "they/the Man" would tell us is MONEY. Yes, you heard stress keeps us working hard (money circulated) and buying goods.
  • America is based on stress right now - work harder (our education system is turning into mush - so it's definitely not about thinking harder) and be perfect while working - someone else WILL take your job if you don't.
    • Just look at the rest of the world's vacation days.
  • Our economy is based on stress and fear - "buy this so you won't die, get sick, get attacked, get rejected by others..."
  • Pills and medication are A MAJOR financial bang for America!
  • America gets things done on the backs of people doing way too many things a day - over working, raising children, trying to keep up with the Joneses, running clubs, and trying to be "healthy"
    • Right now, overachievers make America go round - it's all about how great you can be at everything. The more of us that try to do it all (even while sick and not well rested), the more consumerism (you can now watch your children while at work, buy a phone where you can do work while you sleep, and then pay for meds that will help you fall asleep, and caffeine pills/drinks to help you do it all over again)
I mean what if we all lived peaceful existences - took the proper days off for vacation and "me" time, bought only the things we REALLY needed, took time for ourselves, and refused to juggle 110 things - would we be healthier? Would illnesses such as cancer be reduced by a substantial amount (not eliminated but reduced by a lot)? Would the "Man" make the changes necessary to keep us less cancer-prone?
