I was introduced to him while on a movie in the park date with the hubs. I saw the movie dedicated to his life... this was years ago. Since then I've studied his work...wrote two blog posts (that I don't think I ever published)... and watched two documentaries. Mike thinks that I am obsessed and "doesn't get it" -- but I am so thankful for his creative genuis. Looking at his art and thinking about New York City at the time of his reign...makes me so appreciative of art, inspiration, love, intelligence...
