This morning - Neik is representing with a shirt that Shun got him :) |
With his great grandma (my father's mother) |
On the way back to Jersey...his home. |
Beauty surrounding us../ |
Literally two seconds after the last photo...smiling...I looked at the trees... |
With grandpa and Bo |
With his granny |
With daddy on the way home...rest stop - took us 15 hours going...obsessive first time parents |
We went home for some family/friend time and some Midwestern comfort.
I was excited about the rest - I so foolishly thought I'd get.
There was no rest - in fact, some days I was absolutely exhausted. But there was plenty of southern Midwestern charm.
Dinner with friends where the servers were full of smiles and came to the table to refill your half full cup.
Drinks at a classic wine bar that had a big fireplace inside and outside - so cozy and no rush to leave.
Family time over buffets and cold cut sandwiches.
Church service where the pastor tells you to, "tap your neighbah...and say 'neighbah'" the whole church is electric, people ready at anytime to jump up and clap..."welllllll" the service is humming
Skyline Chili and football games consume time and belly space
Quirky neighborhoods and gentrification
Driving around all night and just talking makes sense because everything is closed after 11 pm on a random weekday
Sitting outside on the porch or backyard deck with a cup of Jo, Bo (my family's black lab) and a good conversation/ devotion every morning is a must
Trees and nature all around turning crazy colors - creating the illusion that you are trapped in a painter's nature fantasy - incredibly gorgeous
Still, silent, and pitch black nights - only noises belong those of my hubby and baby boy - Neiko hit record high of seven hours sleep one night
