While taking our walk

I started singing lullabies in between kisses to my sweet boy.

I got to the classic:

"Rock-a-bye baby, in the treetop
When the wind blows, the cradle will rock
When the bough breaks, the cradle will fall
And down will come baby, cradle and all
"

Yikes. I'm not singing that again! I get that apparently/ rumor has it - it was social commentary, it's a metaphor for birth, or poetic way of describing "falling asleep"...but to me it just sounds like a nightmare. Although I've always loved this song, the mere idea of Neiko falling out of a tree is super disturbing.

No more singing that song #anotherwaythatmotherhoodchangedme
